Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the United States. Since the late 80s Angela Evelyn has appeared on film and television. Her work has been recognized with several awards, among them the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is a native of New York New York and fostered by an aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett as well as her sister and their mother were moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. The father of the family had separated from their mom. Bassett chose to become an actress after seeing the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut earning a bachelor's diploma (1980) on African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. The year 1997 was the time she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was also an actor. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, 1980. Graduate in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grade), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading characters in the film Ramonda in the action movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
